Manager of After School Programs


Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Plans and facilitates after school programs with girls
  2. Keeps supervisor informed of problems, concerns, needs, trends and unusual activities
  3. Maintains accurate records of all groups
  4. Participates in trainings and staff meetings as requested

A Bachelors degree in Education, Social Work or Counseling with at least one year of experience working with youth ages 8-15 is preferred. Experience with youth may be substituted for education with a minimum of 4 years experience working with diverse, populations and high risk youth. Interest in Girls Relational Aggression, Women’s Studies, and issues affecting women and girls is strongly desired.

Interest and/or experience in relational aggression between girls and/or in media literacy, science, math, technology, and/ drug and alcohol prevention.

Successful work/volunteer experience with youth as a facilitator, instructor, counselor or mentor.


Time Commitment:

Groups meet after school 2 times a week.
3-4 hours per week for 9 weeks

Compensation:

This is a contracted position for $12/hour

 

 

 
 
All facilitators receive ongoing training, curricula and are supported by staff to lead groups.
All Successful applicants must submit and pass a criminal background check.
