Bequests & Planned Giving

Planned giving provides a wonderful way for you to ensure our girls of today grow into the next generation of confident and economically-independent women of tomorrow. Passing on a legacy of self esteem that defies the odds of gender, poverty, abuse, and addiction is a gift that will positively impact a generation of girls that in turn pass it on to their children and community as women.

You can seamlessly allocate estate funds to Girls Inc.
Many types of planned gifts are designed to give an income back to clients during their lifetime. Almost all of them provide a tax deduction, either an income tax charitable deduction now, or an estate tax charitable deduction at death. Your tax advisor will help you decide the type of gift that best meets your needs. With a gift to Girls Inc., you can make a positive impact and feel good about your estate plans.

Help grow girls into economically-independent women
As the premier provider of school-based empowerment programs, assertiveness education, and community advocacy for girl-affirming policies and practices, Girls Inc.—along with your help—inspires all girls to realize their potential and exercise their rights. Today, Oregon spends more tax dollars on prisons than the preparation of children for leadership and eco¬nomic independence. Thankfully, Girls Inc. meets the unmet needs of young women every day because we are funded by private donors like you. With private dollars we foster innovation and leave no stone unturned to meet the needs of all girls.

Our impact is impressive:

  • 100% of 1998 Girls Inc. alum attended college
  • 90% of girls with low attendance—attributed to girl fighting—attended school more frequently
  • 75% of frequent “girl fighters” remained conflict-free last year
  • 100% of GO Onward girls delayed pregnancy and 95% maintained treatment goals
  • 90% of Girls Inc. girls are now more interested in math, science, and technology-related careers

We are proud of these outcomes and thankful for the collective investments in girls
Due to substantial volunteer support and in-kind services, Girls Inc. contributes over 85% of its budget directly to Girls Inc. programming. We thank you for taking the time to consider leaving your legacy to girls through Girls Inc. of NW Oregon.
